The New York Knicks will host the Philadelphia 76ers on Christmas Day. What type of Christmas gifts have the Knicks given fans in 2017-18?

December is a month that many around the world view as a time for celebration. Whether or not you celebrate the holidays, a new year is on the horizon and a time for reflection, introspection, and change has officially arrived.

As the New York Knicks prepare to host the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, Dec. 25, attention has understandably turned to Christmas and one of its featured traditions: Gift giving.

New York hasn’t gifted its fans with very much over the past four years, but the tide is already turning. It’s 17-15 through 32 games, which is the latest in a season that it’s been above .500 since it went 54-28 in 2012-13.

That alone is a gift from the Knicks to the fans who have remained loyal through some of the darkest times in what’s soon to be 72 years of franchise history.

Even as the Knicks enter Christmas Day with an above .500 record, the gifts are far more specific than just wins and losses. There has been tangible progress made on multiple fronts, thus providing fans with reason to be grateful and optimistic.

The question is: With a Christmas Day clash with the Philadelphia 76ers looming, what are the best Christmas gifts that the New York Knicks have given fans in 2017-18?
