The New York Knicks stunned the heavily favored Boston Celtics on Thursday, Dec. 21. Who stepped up during the 102-93 Knicks victory?

The New York Knicks are making significant strides towards owning one of the greatest home court advantages in the NBA. After years of inconsistency at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks are winning at a legitimately elite rate.

That trend continued on Thursday, Dec. 21, when New York avenged an Oct. 24 loss to the Boston Celtics by securing one of the most shocking victories to date.

18. Final. 102. 27. 93

For the second time in three games, the Knicks defeated an elite defensive team. More impressively, it was the second time in three games that New York secured a victory while Kristaps Porzingis essentially watched from a distance.

After missing the 111-96 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a knee injury, Porzingis scored one point in 23 minutes during the victory against Boston.

New York locked in on defense and walked away with one of its most significant victories of the 2017-18 NBA regular season. It alleviated a significant measure of pressure from Porzingis, and improved to 17-14 overall and 15-5 at home.

The question is: Who stepped up for the New York Knicks during the unforgettable 111-96 victory over the Boston Celtics?
