The New York Knicks traveled to Barclays Center in an attempt to put an end to their road woes. Who stepped up against the Brooklyn Nets?

The New York Knicks have proven to be one of the best home teams in the NBA this season. Unfortunately, the Knicks also entered Thursday, Dec. 14 as one of the worst road teams in the Association, boasting a record of just 1-8.

Despite losing the franchise player to an injury early in the third quarter, the Knicks proved just how hard they were willing to fight by securing a 111-104 road victory.

2-8 may not be the most ideal of records on the road, but this game was a sign of the Knicks’ character and poise under pressure.

The unfortunate news to emerge from the Barclays Center is that Kristaps Porzingis left the game in the third quarter with a non-contact knee injury. It was a troubling sight, but what followed was an undeniably encouraging turn of events.

Rather than giving up when Porzingis went down with an injury, the Knicks came together and fought until the end for a critical road win.

By defeating Brooklyn, the Knicks snapped a six-game road losing streak and improved to 15-13 on the season. New York is now two games above .500 for the first time since Nov. 24, and has won three consecutive games for the first time since Nov. 7.

The question is: Who stepped up to help the New York Knicks overcome the injury sustained by franchise player Kristaps Porzingis?
