The New York Knicks will travel to play the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, Dec. 9. What must New York do to exorcise its road demons?
The New York Knicks enter Saturday, Dec. 9 as one of the worst teams in the NBA at winning on the road. New York is 12-12 overall, but it’s 11-5 at home and a mere 1-7 during its games played away from Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks will have a golden opportunity to exorcise those road demons on Saturday, but as a recent loss to the Atlanta Hawks proved, nothing is guaranteed.
New York will travel to play the worst team in the NBA on Dec. 9—regardless of whether they’re home or way. The Chicago Bulls are currently 4-20, thus possessing the fewest wins and the most losses of any team in the Association.
True as that may be, the Knicks have played a lifeless brand of basketball on the road in 2017-18, and there’s reason to be skeptical of that trend changing this weekend.
The upside here is that New York has the superior overall roster and the best player on the court in Kristaps Porzingis. The downside is that all seven of the Knicks’ road losses have been decided by double-digits, with their last road win coming on Oct. 29.
The question is: What must the New York Knicks do in order to defeat the Chicago Bulls and improve to 13-12 overall and 2-7 on the road?
