The New York Knicks bounced back strong with a showing against the Memphis Grizzlies. Who stepped up during the 99-88 home win?

The New York Knicks began the clash with the Memphis Grizzlies with a first quarter to forget. Matched up against one of the worst offensive teams in the NBA, the Knicks allowed the Grizzlies to score 32 points in the opening period alone.

Over the course of the next three quarters, however, the Knicks locked in on defense and provided fans with a win to remember: 99-88.

99. 27. 88. 211. Final

The Knicks outscored the Grizzlies by a margin of 76-56 during the final three quarters of the 11-point victory. It held the Grizzlies below 20 points during the second and third quarters, and only allowed 21 points in the fourth due to a meaningless three by Mario Chalmers.

Memphis made a number of runs during the second half, but every time it got close, New York fired back with an offensive onslaught of its own.

For as impressive as the offense was, one can’t help but focus on the team’s phenomenal defense. The Knicks held the Grizzlies to 41.4 percent shooting from the field, and ran the opposition off the three-point line late in the game.

The question is: Who stepped up for the now 12-12 New York Knicks during the 99-88 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies?
