The New York Knicks will host the rival Miami Heat on Wednesday, Nov. 29. What must the Knicks do in order to snap the current three-game losing streak?

There’s nothing better to get a team’s blood flowing than a rivalry game. The city is buzzing, the home venue is sold out, and the players are given something to rally around—an experience that New York Knicks fans have been fortunate enough to take part in.

Although rivalry games are always important, the clash between the Knicks and the Miami Heat on Wednesday, Nov. 29 will have an elevated measure of significant.

New York will enter the clash with Miami having lost three consecutive games. The common theme during that disappointing stretch has been a lack of energy on both ends of the floor—a flaw that both players and coaches have publicly addressed.

The hope is that the rivalry game against the Heat will be what lights a fire beneath the Knicks and sparks a return to the form that preceded the three-game losing streak.

The unfortunate reality here is that Miami has won six consecutive games over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. A losing streak can be tolerated, but allowing a rival to dominate your home arena is unforgivable.

The question is: What must the New York Knicks do to snap out of the out of their current and longstanding losing streaks against the Miami Heat?
