Pro: Kristaps Porzingis

There would be no rational way to make this list without including Kristaps Porzingis as the most promising of pros. He’s been nothing short of dominant on the offensive floor, and is doing an outstanding job of anchoring the defensive interior.

Every player has room for improvement, but positivity would be a virtue with Porzingis’ splendid start to the 2017-18 regular season.

Thus far in 2017-18, Porzingis is averaging 28.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 2.0 three-point field goals made in 32.8 minutes per game. He’s doing so on a remarkably efficient slash line of .493/.406/.821.

Not only is Porzingis on pace to demolish his career-high in points per game, but he’d also set career-best marks in field goal and three-point field goal percentage.

Beyond the numbers, Porzingis has made an unequivocal leap to star status with his leadership both on and off the court. There’s no telling what kind of numbers he’ll produce all season, but the 22-year-old has earned the respect of his teammates.

If Porzingis continues to lead by example with his tenacious approach to execution on both ends of the floor, the Knicks will be better because of it.
