The New York Knicks will host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, Nov. 13. What must the Knicks do in order to win the rematch with Cleveland?

The New York Knicks have been one of the most pleasant surprises of the 2017-18 NBA regular season. It’s only been 12 games, but the Knicks are 7-5 and trending in the direction of returning to the status of a respectable organization.

As New York attempts to improve to 8-5, however, one of the tallest tasks to date is standing in front of it: A motivated Cleveland Cavaliers team.

New York got the best of Cleveland earlier this season, demolishing LeBron James and company by a score of 114-95 at Quicken Loans Arena. Just over two weeks later, the two teams will meet again, this time at Madison Square Garden.

Although the Knicks may have a better record than the 6-7 Cavaliers, vengeance is a motivating factor that can often offset other imbalances.

Come Monday, November 13, Cleveland will be as hungry as ever before to avenge its lopsided home loss to New York. The Knicks are far less established as far as raw talent is concerned, but that doesn’t mean they can’t overcome this challenge.

The question is: What must the New York Knicks do in order to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers and improve to 8-5 in 2017-18?
