Tim Hardaway Jr.

Tim Hardaway Jr. has recovered well from his historically poor start to the 2017-18 NBA regular season. There’s still an element of streakiness to his game, but Hardaway is proving to be an asset for the New York Knicks.

Against Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns, Hardaway continued to prove that he’s capable of creating offense for both himself and others.

Hardaway finished the win over Phoenix with 21 points, three rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 32 high-energy minutes. He shot 6-of-15 from the field, buried three three-point field goals, and shot a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line.

Consistency is still somewhat elusive, but Hardaway’s contributions were timely and critical to the victory that New York achieved.

Hardaway’s 12 first-half points played a significant role in New York jumping out to a 65-50 lead through two. He cooled off in the second half, but managed to strike when it was needed most, burying a three-point field goal to effectively seal the win.

Hardaway was far from flawless against the Suns, but he’s beginning to come into his own as a featured scoring option for the Knicks.
