New York Knicks: The five keys to NYK’s recent success

The New York Knicks have won three consecutive games. In order to sustain that success, the Knicks must pinpoint what’s working so well for them.

The New York Knicks have rebounded masterfully from an abysmal start to the 2017-18 regular season. Since losing five consecutive preseason outings and three straight regular season games, the Knicks have won three in a row.

Although the excitement about the Knicks’ recent surge of success is entirely appropriate, a bigger question looms: How is this happening?

New York began its recent string of glory by dominating the Brooklyn Nets for a 107-86 victory. It then shocked the Cleveland Cavaliers with a lopsided 114-95 blowout, and held on for a surprising 116-110 victory over the Denver Nuggets.

During that three-game run, the Knicks have executed at a high level on both ends of the floor and achieved a significant measure of success in the process.

In order to turn a three-game winning streak into continued success, the Knicks must learn from this success. Much of what New York has done well could be sustained over the course of the 2017-18 NBA regular season.
