Jarrett Jack

In his three games as the starter, Jarrett Jack has made it abundantly clear that he belongs on the main roster. He’s been the catalyst to the resurgence on offense, as well as the veteran leader of a young team that needs the guidance of a facilitator.

Against the Denver Nuggets, Jack was the playmaker whom New York Knicks needed to get off to an extraordinary start to the game.

Jack finished the win over Denver with six points, 10 assists, three rebounds, and a pair of steals in 32 minutes of action. He buried three of his five field goal attempts, and accumulated a +/- of +1 to reflect his positive impact on the game.

It was yet another example of Jack orchestrating a brilliant display on offense, as the Knicks poured in 65 first-half points and 32 points in the fourth quarter.

Although his facilitating touch was the key to his success, Jack’s final points were the most important. As the Nuggets were firing on all cylinders and the Knicks were in need of a basket, it was Jack who buried a jump shot to end the cold spell in the fourth quarter.

Other players stepped up from thereon out, but Jack’s uncanny ability to make big plays in the most important of moments has inevitably earned him significant minutes.
