5. Major Market Exposure

Enes Kanter has spent the first six seasons of his NBA career with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz. Both organizations are run in an admirable manner, but neither can be classified as major market franchises.

In turn, they don’t receive the most ideal level of exposure.

Now playing in New York City, Kanter will have a chance to shine under one of the brightest spotlights in the vast world of professional sports.

Kanter provides the type of contributions that fans and writers often latch onto. His per 36 production is nothing short of elite—we’ll get to that—and his efficiency makes him one of the most alluring players in basketball.

Kanter’s defense has never been more than decent—and it’s generally been worse—but he has an offensive game that’s left many marveling over his abilities.

Now that he’s playing in New York City, every little thing that Kanter does well will be magnified. The same can be said about the areas in which he struggles, but if the good outweighs the bad, the hype train will arrive on schedule.

Whether fair or foul, playing for the New York Knicks has its perks—and Kanter is the perfect candidate to reap the benefits.
