Team Needs

The Houston Rockets want Carmelo Anthony, and that summarizes their team needs. The other two teams in this scenario aren’t facing quite as easy of a summarization, however, as both the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks need more than a single player.

The goal for New York is to acquire Jabari Parker, but that’s much easier said than done—and it’s not the only way that it could stand to improve.

The Bucks’ team needs are mostly perimeter depth and three-point shooting. There will need to be more to it than just role players, but the Knicks and Rockets must be able to provide Milwaukee with enough firepower to take a legitimate step forward.

Coming off of a playoff appearance, that will require a considerable amount of talent to come in return—a measurement that must include Parker’s injury history.

If a trade were to be executed, the best bet for Milwaukee would be to find shooters to surround Giannis Antetokounmpo with. It could also benefit from adding a rebounder to help address one of the team’s primary areas of weakness.

If the Bucks, Knicks, and Rockets manage to execute a trade, it will require Anthony, Parker, and a quality cast of players who can further along a vision.
