The best comparison for Oregon Ducks freshman Troy Brown Jr. may be Andre Iguodala. He has the size, length, and athleticism to be a dominant slasher, but he instead opts to be a pass-first player who creates for his teammates.

The New York Knicks will likely be targeting a small forward in the 2018 NBA Draft, and Brown would be as good of a fit as any.

Brown stands at just under 6’7″ and 210 pounds with a 6’11” wingspan and NBA-caliber athleticism. He projects to be an outstanding defensive player, but that will need to be proven during his freshman season at Oregon.

The early signs of competitive nature are present on defense, and that’s something the Knicks should be intrigued by in 2017-18.

The key to Brown’s game is that he’s an excellent passer who sees the court at an above-average level. He can set his teammates up in transition, and has that same ability as it pertains to playing in the half court with moving pieces around him.

Frank Ntilikina is the point guard of the future, but a small forward who can lighten the facilitating burden would be a wise addition.
