The New York Knicks are reportedly interested in signing free agent point guard Jarrett Jack. What would the pros and cons be of such a signing?

The New York Knicks have committed to rookie Frank Ntilikina as the future at the point guard position. In doing so, the Knicks have enacted an extensive search for a veteran who can alleviate pressure from Ntilikina.

Although the Knicks previously signed Ramon Sessions to address that need, the pursuit of veteran leadership hasn’t yet ceased.

Ntilikina is regarded as a player with intriguing potential, but he’s also viewed as something of a project. He has the physical tools and overall skill level to contribute early, but the learning curve between Europe and the NBA is historically steep.

According to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN, the Knicks have entertained the possibility of complementing Ntilikina with free agent point guard Jarrett Jack.

"Hearing that some in the Knicks front office see Jarrett Jack and Archie Goodwin as potential free agent additions at point guard."

Jack has been struggling to overcome injuries over the course of the past two seasons, but he could be an interesting addition to the Knicks.

Jack has experienced an extensive NBA career that’s enabled him to play for multiple postseason teams. As he attempts to return to the Association, the Knicks have surfaced as a franchise with growing interest in acquiring his services.

The question is: What would the pros and cons be of the New York Knicks potentially signing free agent point guard Jarrett Jack?
