Quinn Cook

NBA Experience: 1 Season
2016-17 Slash Line: .500/.423/.400

Few players have been more impressive during G League play than former Duke Blue Devils point guard Quinn Cook. Thus, there’s an admitted possibility that Cook will try his luck in training camp and attempt to earn a full-time roster spot.

If Cook is interested in the pay raise and opportunity that would come with a two-way contract, however, the New York Knicks should pounce.

Cook appeared in just 14 NBA games in 2016-17, but he shot well and produced in an admirable manner. He averaged just 13.4 minutes per game, but his averages translated to 15.1 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.1 3-point field goals made per 36 minutes.

That’s a reflection of Cook’s value as a sharpshooting point guard who can facilitate via the pick and roll, and occasionally create his own shot.

It was in the D-League, however, that Cook displayed just how much talent he possesses. In 39 games played, he averaged 26.0 points, 6.7 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 2.5 3-point field goals made per game on a slash line of .475/.372/.895.

A two-time D-League All-Star and the 2016 D-League Rookie of the Year, Cook is primed and ready to test the NBA waters.
