Isaiah Briscoe

Position: Point Guard
Age: 21 (4/13/1996)
NBA Experience: Rookie
2016-17 Slash Line: .470/.288/.635
2016-17 Season Averages: 30.4 MPG, 12.1 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 4.2 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.5 3PM

The New York Knicks have a glaring need for stability at the point guard position. Frank Ntilikina represents the long-term future, but it would behoove the Knicks to look at alternate options for the sake of depth and versatility.

If the Knicks are going to run the dual point guard sets that head coach Jeff Hornacek utilized with the Phoenix Suns, Isaiah Briscoe could be the perfect target.

Briscoe is a 6’3″ and 222-pound point guard with a 6’9″ wingspan and a max vertical leap that’s been measured at 37″. He was one of the most highly-touted recruits in the country coming out of high school, but underwhelmed during his two years with the Kentucky Wildcats.

Briscoe went undrafted in 2017, but the New Jersey high school legend has talent that cannot be denied and identifiable value to groom.

Briscoe’s bread and butter is his ability to get to the rim, which he did at virtual will during his two-year collegiate career. His shot is flawed in every sense of the word, but he can consistently finish at the rim and create for others on the drive.

As Briscoe looks to claim an NBA future, there would be no better place for him to be than close to home—an opportunity the Knicks could provide.
