3. Capable Facilitator

To call Ramon Sessions a true facilitator would be a somewhat inaccurate representation of what he offers as a player. He’s a team-first player who has proven capable of creating for others, however, and that could be sufficient in 2017-18.

Spreading the wealth will be the primary obligation of the Knicks’ point guards this coming season, and Sessions is capable of doing exactly that.

As previously alluded to, Sessions is a quality pick and roll playmaker who can hit his big men on the dive. He can also attack off the drive and occasionally knock down shots from midrange, which offers a complementary element to his creation skills.

Sessions can move the ball well enough to be a complementary playmaker, and he’s equally as impressive at taking care of the ball.

Sessions boasts career averages of 6.2 assists and 2.6 turnovers per 36 minutes, as well as an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.39. He has a 24-assist game on his docket, and has been consistently and efficiently productive throughout his career.

The Knicks will need other players to step up as far as facilitating is concerned, but Sessions could provide intriguing support as a facilitator.
