The New York Knicks are reportedly interested in signing free agent point guard Ramon Sessions. Should the Knicks go through with bringing him on board?

The New York Knicks have completed the process of vetting their options on the free agency front. With limited cap space and a shortage of realistic options, the Knicks managed to dig deep and find the ideal short-term complement to Frank Ntilikina.

As New York narrows down its already slender list of options, it appears as though a journeyman is near the top of the board.

The Knicks expressed interest in several high-profile free agents, including George Hill, Jrue Holiday, and Jeff Teague. All three signed lucrative contracts that were out of New York’s price range, however, which forced Steve Mills and Scott Perry to do an extra measure of due diligence.

According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, the Knicks have signed free agent point guard Ramon Sessions to fill the void.

Per Charania, Sessions’ contract will be worth the minimum of $2.3 million.

The Knicks’ point guard rotation now consists of rookie Frank Ntilikins, Chasson Randle, and Sessions.

Sessions may not be the most prominent name on the open market, but he’s a player who offers a reasonable measure of intrigue. While there may be flaws that need to be addressed, Sessions can still be a solid contributor in 2017-18.

The question is: What are the reasons that New York Knicks fans should support the signing of Ramon Sessions?
