1. John Jenkins Reaches Westchester History

On Mar. 12, 2015, Doron Lamb recorded a franchise-high 40 points in a victory over the Iowa Energy. Over the course of the next two seasons, many players have come close, but haven’t tied or surpassed Lamb’s record.

During the 2016-17 season alone, two players (Chasson Randle twice and Von Wafer) came within five points or less of the record. Nearly two years after Lamb’s record, John Jenkins tied the franchise-record by recording 40 points against the Long Island Nets on Mar. 14, 2017.

Jenkins started out on a high note by recording 21 of his 40 points in the first half. In the fourth quarter, the Vanderbilt etched his name in the Westchester Knicks’ record book. Off a pass from Joey Miller, Jenkins drove to the basket and recorded his 15th made field goal of the game. The 6-foot-4 guard finished the game with 40 points on 15-of-30 from the field and 2-of-4 from beyond the arc.
