Ognjen Jaramaz, Mega Leks

Projection: Late Second Round
Age: 21 (9/1/1995)
Height, Weight, Wingspan: 6’4.5″, 194 pounds, 6’5.5″
2016-17 Slash Line: .380/.275/.739
2016-17 Per 36 Averages: 15.3 points, 4.4 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.5 3-point field goals made

The New York Knicks have a void at point guard and a team president who covets size at the position. That could be the perfect formula for Ognjen Jaramaz, who projects to be available in the No. 44 to 58 range of the 2017 NBA Draft.

Jaramaz is a bit of a sleeper prospect, but the Knicks have done well in the international market at forward and center, and that success could translate to guard.

Jaramaz stands at just under 6’5″ with a 194-pound frame and a near 6’6″ wingspan. He’s a skilled player with a solid shot, including increasing 3-point range, a solid jumper from midrange, and a consistent stroke at the charity stripe.

The rest of his game is still a work in progress, but Jaramaz’s ability to shoot with range would make him an ideal fit for the triangle offense.

It’s worth noting that Jaramaz has four years of professional experience in the vaunted Adriatic League. He also has international experience with Serbia, which has recently sent the likes of Nikola Jokic and Ivica Zubac to the NBA.

Jaramaz could be a draft-and-stash player, but if that proves to be the case, it would provide short-term cap relief and an opportunity to develop an intriguing young talent at point guard.
