New York Knicks: Teams that may be open to trading 2017 NBA Draft pick
The New York Knicks are looking to acquire a second first-round selection in the 2017 NBA Draft. Which teams might be willing to deal?
With the 2017 NBA Draft rapidly approaching, the New York Knicks are as active as any team in the Association. New York is not only hosting prospects for pre-draft workouts, but exploring its options further down the board.
It’s been consistently reported that the Knicks are interested in acquiring a second first-round draft pick, and that rumor is beginning to gain traction.
New York is currently in possession of the No. 8, No. 44, and No. 58 overall selections in the 2017 NBA Draft. Thus, it will have the opportunity to make a splash by selecting three prospects who could fit into the long-term plans.
It’s worth noting that two of the Knicks’ most recent draft-night acquisitions were Kristaps Porzingis at No. 4 overall and Willy Hernangomez at No. 35 overall in the 2015 NBA Draft.
Having displayed an ability to adequately utilize the NBA Draft, the Knicks will look to capitalize on this golden opportunity. Doing so may include the organization making a move for a second first-round draft pick on June 22.
The question is: Which teams might the New York Knicks be able to execute a trade with on the night of the 2017 NBA Draft?
