Andrew White, Syracuse Orange

Upside Comparison: Kyle Korver/Tony Snell
Position: Shooting Guard
Age: 23 (6/13/1993)
Height & Weight: 6’7″ & 220 pounds
2016-17 Slash Line: .441/.403/.837
2016-17 Season Averages: 37.2 MPG, 18.5 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 1.1 APG, 1.6 SPG, 3.3 3PM

Assuming Carmelo Anthony is back in 2017-18, the New York Knicks would likely have an easy time welcoming Andrew White into the locker room. Anthony remains involved with the Syracuse men’s basketball program, and Andrew White was one of Cuse’s better players since ‘Melo left.

White will turn 24 years of age shortly before the 2017 NBA Draft, but he has a ready-made NBA skill in his ability to shoot the 3-ball.

In 2015-16, White converted 87 3-point field goals on 41.2 percent shooting as a member of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. In 2016-17, he went off for 112 3-point field goals made on 40.3 percent shooting as a member of the Orange.

Standing at 6’7″ with a solid 220-pound frame, White can get shoot over the average defender when they press him at the 3-point line.

Defensively, White has the size, strength, and length to develop into a high-level defender in the NBA. If he’s willing to take coaching from Jeff Hornacek and whomever runs the defense in 2017-18, he could show immediate flashes of that ability.

White’s comparison is Tony Snell, who made 144 3-point field goals on 40.6 percent shooting in 2016-17, but his ambitious resemblance is former No. 51 overall selection Kyle Korver.
