New York Knicks: Pending Free Agents To Watch In 2017 NBA Finals

If the New York Knicks are looking to improve upon a season of dreadful shooting woes, then Kyle Korver should be near the top of the free agency wish list. Battling limited cap space, New York could make a reasonable offer to the all-time sharpshooter.
Korver has become relatively limited at 36 years of age, but he’s still one of the best shooters in the world—and that can’t be ignored.
The Knicks finished 2016-17 at No. 21 in 3-point field goal percentage and No. 23 in 3-point field goals made. Korver, meanwhile, was No. 1 in 3-point field goal percentage amongst players who converted at least 100 attempts.
With 162 3-point field goals made in just 67 games, Korver’s 45.1 percent shooting from beyond the arc is even more impressive.
True as all this may be, Korver is 36 years of age and he continues to struggle on the defensive end of the floor. Thus, while signing him may be of great aid to the Knicks on offense, it would leave Jeff Hornacek with another perimeter player who can’t be trusted on an island on defense.
This is the ultimate case of pros and cons needing to be weighed against one another. The 2017 NBA Finals should reveal Korver’s true colors.
