25. Orlando Magic: Terrance Ferguson, Adelaide

Position: Shooting Guard
Age: 19 (5/17/1998)
Height, Weight, Wingspan: 6’7″, 184 pounds, 6’8.75″
2016-17 Slash Line: .381/.313/.600
2016-17 Season Averages: 15.2 MPG, 4.6 PPG, 1.1 RPG, 0.6 APG, 0.7 3PM

After drafting small forward Jayson Tatum at No .6 overall, the Orlando Magic continue to pad the perimeter at No. 25. Terrance Ferguson has his flaws, but the Magic can afford to gamble on an athletic perimeter player with upside.

With an interior that’s flush with quality players, Orlando must continue to attempt to find the star who breaks out as the go-to player along the perimeter.

Ferguson’s shot is somewhat inconsistent, but he has the size and quick release to develop into a marksman over time. He measured at 6’7″ with a near 6’9″ wingspan, and couples that with elite athleticism and in-game leaping ability.

For reasons beyond the similar names, Ferguson’s best NBA comparison may be Terrence Ross, who currently plays for the Magic.

The difference between Ferguson and Ross, of course, is that the former is younger and may have a higher ceiling. He gained pro-level experience in Australia, which is a league known for its physicality, and that should help him transition to the NBA.

Frank Vogel knows how to develop players into defensive standouts, and Ferguson has tremendous upside at 6’7″ with a 6’9″ wingspan.

Any athletic shooter should be on the radar for the New York Knicks, but Ferguson has quite the high ceiling.
