5. Physical Profile

It doesn’t take long to realize why NBA general managers are so infatuated with OG Anunoby. He’s one of the most physically compelling prospects in this draft class, with the size, length, strength, and athleticism of an elite pro-level wing.

Anunoby will need to re-establish his explosiveness after his previously alluded to knee injury, but his physical profile makes him a moldable prospect.

In shoes, Anunoby stands at 6’7.75″ and 232 pounds with a 7’2.25″ wingspan and a near 9’0″ standing reach. He’s a chiseled 232 with the core strength and upper body to potentially play and defend the 4 in small-ball rotations.

For the New York Knicks, Anunoby represents the explosive athlete whom the organization desperately needs at small forward.

Carmelo Anthony is a dynamic scorer, Mindaugas Kuzminskas can get hot without a moment’s notice, and Lance Thomas is a rugged competitor. None can be accurately described as explosive, however, and that’s the best word for Anunoby.

If the Knicks’ medical staff determines that Anunoby can make a full recovery and maintain enough of his athleticism, then he’d be a wise investment.
