Bam Adebayo, Kentucky Wildcats

Position: Center

The Kentucky Wildcats are known for producing high-level point guards and even better big men. That includes point guards Eric Bledsoe and John Wall, and big men DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, and Karl-Anthony Towns.

If the New York Knicks determine that Willy Hernangomez isn’t the center of the future, then taking a chance on the latest star-caliber Kentucky big, Bam Adebayo, could be a wise endeavor.

Adebayo is an athletic big man with a 6’10” and 243-pound frame and a near 7’3″ wingspan. He’s an aggressive offensive rebounder and a solid rim protector who could be the defensive complement Porzingis needs down low.

Not only does Adebayo have a high ceiling as a shot-blocking rim protector, but he’s a physically powerful force of nature who would balance out Porzingis’ thin frame.

On the offensive end of the floor, Adebayo has shown flashes of brilliance. He’s a consistent finisher around the basket and has the foundation for an effective midrange game, thus giving him both pick and roll, and pick and pop potential.

If Adebayo continues to work on his post game, he could develop into one of the best two-way players in the 2017 NBA Draft.
