3. Philadelphia 76ers – Jayson Tatum (Duke)

If Joel Embiid’s reaction at the draft lottery is any indication of the direction the Philadelphia 76ers are (finally) headed in, the process is to be trusted. If the Sixers are content with rolling with Ben Simmons as the lead point guard, then fans won’t be too down about missing out on Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball.

With Simmons playing point and the bevy of bigs on the roster, this comes down to either Jayson Tatum or Josh Jackson. Both were near the top of their recruiting class and both had productive seasons at Duke and Kansas, respectively.

Tatum gets the edge due to his offensive skill set and ability to play as a small ball power forward. His 3-point shooting is not where it needs to be, but it’s steadily improving and he would be a go-to scoring option on this young team.

4. Phoenix Suns – Josh Jackson (Kansas)

The Phoenix Suns have long needed a wing player to pair with emerging superstar Devin Booker. They finally get their wish with Josh Jackson. The Suns may have wanted Jaylen Brown last year before Boston scooped him up with the third overall pick, but Jackson may end up being a better player with his two-way ability.

A small ball lineup of Eric Bledsoe, Booker, Jackson, Dragan Bender, and Marquese Chriss may spell disaster for teams for years to come.
