2017 NBA Mock Draft: New York Knicks And All 30 First-Round Picks
By Yazen Abed
23. Toronto Raptors – Ike Anigbogu (UCLA)
The Toronto Raptors could be in line to lose Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka, Patrick Patterson, and P.J. Tucker this offseason, which could spell disaster and a possible blow-up scenario. Assuming Masai Ujiri is able to bring a few of those pieces back, drafting Anigbogu for his sheer athleticism could pay dividends down the road.
Given the success of their D-League champion affiliates Raptors 905 (shout-out to Sauga City), Anigbogu can grow and mature in Mississauga. He can be used sporadically should the Raptors need him in the near future.
24. Utah Jazz – OG Anunoby (Indiana)
OG Anunoby could have been a top-10 pick had he not torn his ACL in January, but reports of his aggressive rehab to be ready for opening night is promising and could vault him back into the lottery.
The Jazz could lose Gordon Hayward and Joe Ingles to free agency, leaving a hole on the wing. Anunoby’s defensive versatility would make him a steal at No. 24.
Another option here is Jonathan Jeanne of France, teammate of fellow countryman Rudy Gobert, should the Jazz not be patient enough to wait until pick #30.
