19. Atlanta Hawks – Ivan Rabb (California)

The decision to stay in school after being a productive high school athlete is lost on many of the youth today. Some see the opportunity for that first big paycheck, while others, like Ivan Rabb, see the promise in staying in school to become better.

His draft stock may have slipped from last year after not improving mightily, but it may turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Rabb, who may be better equipped to stay in the league for longer.

The Hawks lost Al Horford last year and may lose Paul Milsap this summer, so taking a dynamic frontcourt player like Rabb seems like an easy decision to make.

20. Portland Trail Blazers – Harry Giles (Duke)

Harry Giles, the No. 2 ranked high school recruit from last year, suffered from a multitude of knee injuries in high school, including tears in both of his ACLs. He declared for the 2017 NBA Draft based on his successful high school career.

Despite being relatively unproductive at Duke, the Blazers can afford to swing for the fences with Giles while he continues to recover and improve. Worst case: the Blazers have two other first-rounders. Best case? The Blazers find top five talent at No. 20.
