The New York Knicks have made it no secret that De’Aaron Fox is near the top of the big board. Fans have come out in droves to speak in favor of Fox, and the organization has met directly with him to discuss a potential union.

Fox has drawn steady comparisons to Washington Wizards superstar John Wall, and that alone is reason to be intrigued by his upside.

Fox has been near the top of Daily Knicks’ big board since before the 2016-17 season began. He measured lower than expected at the 2017 NBA Draft Combine, but he still has the type of physical gifts that Phil Jackson covets at point guard.

With a near 6’7″ wingspan and explosive in-game athleticism, Fox could fill the potential void left by Derrick Rose, who was New York’s lone slashing scorer.

Fox is also a gifted facilitator who sees the floor well, limits his turnovers, and finds the open man. He’s an unselfish playmaker who, above all else, prides himself on his ability to lock his man down on the defensive end of the floor.

Fair upside comparisons for Fox include Wall and Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley, who has helped lead the Memphis Grizzlies to seven consecutive postseason appearances.
