The 2017 NBA Draft lottery is rapidly approaching. Who are the New York Knicks targeting in the final pre-lottery mock draft?

The 2017 NBA Draft is shaping up to be an event unlike any the New York Knicks have experienced during the Phil Jackson era. New York will have a first-round draft pick for just the second time in four years, as well as two second-round selections.

With the NBA’s annual lottery nearing and the draft order soon to be determined, the Knicks’ future is soon to be determined.

New York is currently projected to pick at No. 7, No. 45, and No. 58 overall in the 2017 NBA Draft. It will be just the second time since 2009 that the Knicks will have a Top 10 draft pick, which is reason enough to be intrigued by the what’s on the horizon.

The task at hand for Jackson will be determining what the Knicks should do to capitalize on the opportunity to utilize three draft picks.

In this scenario, the Knicks utilize the draft picks to build for the future. There are an abundance of options, but only a select few prospects who ideally fit what the Knicks are searching for. More importantly, there are only a select few with upside that’s worth believing in.

The question is: who should the New York Knicks be scouting and considering during the 2017 NBA Draft?
