Pro: Postseason Experience

The New York Knicks are looking for a point guard who can help return the team to its previous postseason glory. Jeff Teague may or may not be the player whom New York wins a championship with, but he can certainly help in the pursuit of the playoffs.

With 66 postseason games played and 55 playoff games started, Teague is one of the more experienced players at his position.

Most recently, Teague finished the 2017 NBA Playoffs with averages of 17.0 points, 6.3 assists, and 2.3 3-point field goals made per game. He did so on a slash line of .489/.529/.833, and committed just 2.0 turnovers per game.

The Indiana Pacers may have been swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers, but Teague held his own against an All-NBA point guard in Kyrie Irving.

Teague has appeared in the postseason in every season of his eight-year NBA career. He averaged 33.1 minutes per game for the Hawks when they made the 2015 Eastern Conference Finals, and has made it beyond the first round on four separate occasions.

Teague may not be a Tony Parker type of performer in the playoffs, but he’s familiar with the pressure of performing in the postseason and has handled it relatively well.
