The New York Knicks have won the regular season series over the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, and Miami Heat. Though the postseason may be out of New York’s reach, it’s done well by the legends of the 1990s by defeating the bitter rivals.
On Tuesday, April 4, the Knicks continued that redemption tour with yet another victory over a Bulls team that’s pursuing a postseason appearance.
The Knicks played spoiler with a 100-91 victory over the primary team that prevented Patrick Ewing from winning a championship. It was a tremendous showing on both ends of the floor and a strong indication that pride still exists in New York.
Between the Knicks’ defensive execution and their offensive efficiency, Jeff Hornacek’s crew managed to overcome a tall and tedious task.
New York held Chicago to 38.1 percent shooting from the field and 22.2 percent from beyond the arc. The win didn’t help the Knicks’ lottery odds, but it helped restore some measure of honor and integrity to Madison Square Garden.
