No point guard in the NBA does a better job of pacing their team through a game than future Hall of Famer Chris Paul. His court vision is unparalleled, his defensive proficiency is unmatched, and his midrange game is unstoppable.

If any point guard could take over the triangle offense and lead the New York Knicks to top-tier status, it would be Paul.

Paul leads the league in Real Plus-Minus and is the No. 1 point guard in Defensive RPM. He’s the only player in the NBA who ranks in the Top 10 in both Offensive and Defensive Real Plus-Minus—and yes, that includes LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and every other superstar.

It’s also worth noting that, amongst players averaging at least 5.0 assists per game, Paul has the best assist-to-turnover ratio in the NBA at 3.78.

Paul rarely turns the ball over, is a master facilitator, and is an efficient 3-point shooter who can make a killing from midrange. His pick-and-roll proficiency is second to none, and his pedigree as a leader is unquestioned.

Paul is a one-man postseason appearance, and with the New York Knicks, he could help both Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis tap into their potential.
