The New York Knicks won the regular season series with an 87-81 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday, Mar. 14. Who stepped up for the Knicks?

The New York Knicks haven’t provided fans with the longest list of reasons to be optimistic in 2016-17. The postseason appears to be more of a pipe dream than a realistic goal and a Top 5 pick is far from guaranteed.

On Tuesday, Mar. 14, however, the Knicks finally created a silver lining by winning the regular season series against the rival Indiana Pacers.

New York put forth one of its best defensive performances of the season during an 87-81 home victory over the Pacers. It held Indiana to 36.8 percent shooting from the field and 27.6 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Though the entire team stepped up on the defensive end of the floor, there were a select few players who stood out from the pack.

Though the win was ugly, it gave New York three victories over Indiana in four games. During this disastrous season, that’s one of the few reasons to applaud the efforts of the Knicks and temporarily block out the pain of a losing season.

The question is: who stepped up for the New York Knicks during the 87-81 victory over the rival Indiana Pacers?
