Wesley Iwundu is one of the best players you’ve never heard of. The Kansas State Wildcats star is a point forward with the athleticism and defensive upside to be an impact player at the next level, but the unproven nature to fall into the second round.

If Iwundu falls to the New York Knicks in Round 2, then it would behoove Phil Jackson to be knowledgable of this do-it-all forward.

Iwundu has the physical tools to start at either shooting guard or small forward, and the skill set to be something of a ball dominant player. On the defensive end of the floor, he has active hands and intriguing upside in on-ball situations.

A consistently improving player, it stands to reason that Iwundu’s work ethic and upside could help him make the main roster as early as his rookie season.

For as well-rounded as he may be, the primary appeal with Iwundu is his ability to handle the ball and facilitate for his teammates. He can create penetration and find the open man along the perimeter or push the pace and thrive as a playmaker.

Iwundu needs to be more confident in his jump shot to excel in an off-ball capacity, but he has upside to explore at the next level.
