The New York Knicks are well-aware of how strong the Holiday family gene pool is. Phil Jackson is reportedly intrigued by the possibility of signing Jrue Holiday in free agency and Justin Holiday has been a standout performer for the Knicks in 2016-17.

With a second-round grade currently attached to him, the Knicks could utilize a second-round pick to bring the family together by selecting point guard Aaron Holiday.

Holiday, who’s the younger brother of Jrue and Justin, is having quite the sophomore season at UCLA. He’s a borderline elite 3-point shooter who has found his groove as a slasher and has shown flashes of intriguing defensive potential.

From a statistical perspective, Holiday is currently averaging 19.2 points, 6.4 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.4 3-point field goals made per 40 minutes—all of which are improvements from 2015-16.

Having improved the volume and efficiency with which he produces, Holiday has captured the attention of general managers. Beyond the numbers, he has an outstanding 3-point shot, a 6’6″ wingspan, and the upside of a legitimate two-way player.

Holiday seems to need another season of college ball before he’s ready for the NBA, but the talent level and upside is undoubtedly intriguing.
