The New York Knicks will finally trust the NBA Draft as an avenue for team building. Which prospects on New York’s radar must step up during the Conference Tournaments?

March Madness has officially begun and no NBA team should be more focused on what transpires than the New York Knicks. While most teams with records in the bottom 10 of the NBA are preparing to tank, New York still hasn’t committed to a specific direction.

As the Knicks sort out what the future will hold, it’s only rational to evaluate the prospects who will lead the organization into the future.

With the conference tournaments underway, New York can evaluate how the top players in the 2017 NBA Draft perform under pressure. That pressure will be present for every prospect, but there are players who have more to prove than others.

It’s the players with prominent question marks whom the Knicks should be paying the closest attention to now that the Madness has begun.

The Knicks have three draft picks in 2017, with one first-round selection and two second-rounders. All three picks could net New York high-level players, including the point guard whom many believe the organization needs.

The question is: which five players have the most to gain from the conference tournaments and why should the New York Knicks be watching them?
