Prior to joining the Toronto Raptors, Kyle Lowry was bouncing around rotations with the Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies. He found some stability in Houston, but he’s become a perennial All-Star since making the move to Toronto.

With free agency looming, the soon to be 31-year-old will have an opportunity to sign a max contract that many around the NBA believes he deserves.

In Toronto, Lowry has become a three-time All-Star and 2016 All-NBA Third Team honoree. He’s achieved that status by leading the Raptors to three consecutive Atlantic Division titles and an Eastern Conference Finals appearances.

With a well-rounded skill set and an invaluable ability to play at a high level on both ends of the floor, Lowry is the perfect point guard for just about any team in the NBA.

Lowry is the type of player who makes his teammates better and does what’s necessary to account for their remaining weaknesses. That much is proven by Lowry ranking in the Top 5 in the NBA in Real Plus-Minus.

If the Knicks were to steal Lowry from the Raptors, it would be a power move that would stabilize the 2016-17 NBA regular season.
