The New York Knicks have a need for 3-and-D perimeter players who can be the glue to Jeff Hornacek’s system. Justin Holiday and Courtney Lee are quality players who contribute on both ends of the floor, but Holiday can move to the 3 if another quality player is added at the 2.

If possible, it would behoove the Knicks to make a move for available Indiana Pacers swingman C.J. Miles.

Miles has become one of the most feared 3-point shooters in the NBA, as well as a respectable defender. He may not lock players down, but he’s a decent team defender with the size and length to make a positive impact.

According to Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype, the Pacers are looking to help Paul George win and are open to trading just about anyone to do so.

"Indiana would trade anyone not named Paul George, said one general manager."

One could likely subtract Myles Turner’s name from the list of available players, but if this holds true, Miles could be an intriguing addition to the Knicks.

Miles has career averages of 16.9 points and 2.4 3-point field goals made per 36 minutes. Over the course of the past five seasons, he’s averaged 18.3 points and 3.2 3-point field goals made per 36 minutes.

Miles may not be the most perfect of fits, and some may argue that he’s better at the 3, but he’d be a solid fit in Jeff Hornacek’s offensive system.
