With the 2017 NBA trade deadline approaching, the time for action has officially arrived. New York Knicks team president Phil Jackson and general manager Steve Mills will be tasked with evaluating the current situation and determining what the best course of action would be to build towards completing the long-term vision

One could make a case that no decision will influence the Knicks’ trajectory more than what Jackson and Mills decide to do with the point guard position.

New York currently has two quality point guards in starter Derrick Rose and backup Brandon Jennings. Rose is averaging 17.7 points and 4.5 assists in 32.2 minutes per game, and Jennings is providing the Knicks with 8.7 points and 5.0 assists in 25.0 minutes per game.

According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, multiple teams around the NBA are interested in trading for Rose.
