2. Willis Reed: 9

Perhaps the greatest player in New York Knicks history, Willis Reed checks in at No. 2 on the All-Star Game appearances list. Reed was a galvanizing force who was responsible for what may have been the most iconic moment in NBA history.

Reed was a relentless player who competed on both ends of the floor and selflessly sacrificed in the pursuit of victory—a result he often led New York to.

Reed made nine All-Star Game appearances during his legendary Knicks career that spanned from 1964 to 1974. That includes 1969-70, when Reed completed the holy triumvirate of MVP awards for the champion Knicks.

In a display of pure dominance, Reed won NBA MVP, Finals MVP, and All-Star Game MVP, and led New York to its first championship in franchise history.

Whether he was hobbling back onto the court or working at full strength, Reed led by example with poise and persistence. That enabled him to become the first and only league MVP, as well as the only Finals MVP, to win such awards while donning the orange and blue.

With two NBA championships, two Finals MVP awards, nine All-Star Game appearances, five All-NBA nods, and an All-Defensive First Team selection, Reed is the embodiment of Knicks glory.
