The New York Knicks lost a heartbreaker to the Milwaukee Bucks at Madison Square Garden. What did we learn from the 105-104 defeat?

The New York Knicks have suffered a number of disheartening losses during the 2016-17 NBA regular season. From the near win on Christmas Day to the slew of questionable calls during an overtime loss to the Atlanta Hawks, the Knicks are reeling and have few reasons for optimism..

On Wednesday, Jan. 4, the Knicks suffered the most devastating loss of the season.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was dominant in the fourth quarter as the Milwaukee Bucks marched into Madison Square Garden and secured a 105-104 victory. It ended with Antetokounmpo sinking a game-winning buzzer beater.

Despite leading by 14 points after three quarters and by one point leading up to the final possession, New York couldn’t close out the victory.

As a result of the loss to Milwaukee, the Knicks are 16-19 overall, 11-7 at home, and 5-12 on the road. Perhaps most importantly, New York is 1.5 games back of the Chicago Bulls for the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The question is: what did we learn from the Knicks’ latest heartbreaking loss at Madison Square Garden?
