3. 3-Point Defense

Once again, the New York Knicks are respectable statistically and weak in reality. The numbers say New York is an average team when defending the 3-point shot, but that isn’t a reflection of the reality of this situation.

Matched up against one of the most efficient 3-point shooting teams in the NBA, the Knicks must defend the 3-point line.

The Milwaukee Bucks are No. 21 in the NBA with an average of 8.6 3-point field goals made per game. It’s No. 9 in the NBA in 3-point field goal percentage, however, with a remarkably efficient mark of .361.

Considering the Knicks were torched for 15 3-point field goals by an inefficient Orlando Magic team, they must be better against Milwaukee.

New York has allowed 48 3-point field goals over the course of the past three games. That includes the 15 that it allowed Orlando to convert and the 21 that it let up against the Houston Rockets.

The Bucks are trending upwards in many regards and that momentum could be carried over into the clash with the Knicks.
