5. Ball Movement

The New York Knicks border on being elite when they play selflessly and are legitimately atrocious when they don’t. Though some may believe that the Knicks can afford to live in isolation, the numbers prove that they can’t.

If the Knicks are going to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks, then they must commit to a team-oriented approach to offensive execution.

New York enters the clash with Milwaukee at 15-7 when it records at least 20 assists. That leaves the Knicks with a record of 1-11 during games that they fail to record at least 20 assists—a telling number.

There isn’t a better way to prove that the Knicks need to move the ball than looking at contrasting win percentages of .682 and .083.

New York has the personnel to run a well-oiled machine on the offensive end of the floor. Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis, and Derrick Rose are the most notorious scoring threats, but there are a number of skill-specific contributors surrounding them.

Against a Bucks team that ranks No. 4 in the NBA in assists per game, the Knicks need to embrace the need to move the ball.
