New York Knicks: Who Stepped Up Against The Indiana Pacers?
Kyle O’Quinn
Though he didn’t have another 20 and 10 game, Kyle O’Quinn may have provided the play of the game to the New York Knicks. During the third quarter of New York’s comeback victory, he picked Jeff Teague’s pocket in the half court and started a fast break.
That play, as well as Justin Holiday’s dunk in transition, helped reinvigorate an almost silent crowd and swing momentum back in New York’s favor.
Overall, O’Quinn finished with six points, six rebounds, one offensive board, one assist, two steals, and a block in just 17 minutes. He shot 3-of-6 from the field and accumulated a +/- of +9 during one of the biggest games of the season thus far.
Once again, O’Quinn took the floor and left an extraordinarily positive mark on the game by playing for the team.
O’Quinn has spent the past month playing at the highest level of his NBA career thus far. His passing ability, versatility as a scorer, tremendous rebounding proficiency, and defensive potential are all coming together.
If O’Quinn can continue to perform at this level throughout the remainder of the 2016-17 NBA regular season, the Knicks could have a special year.
