The New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers rekindled the flame of a storied rivalry on Tuesday, December 20. It was a massive game for both teams, as they entered the encounter in danger of falling to .500.

With postseason positioning on the line, the Knicks defeated the Pacers  in this bitter rivalry game by a score of 118-111.

Though the rivalry is relatively new, the Knicks and Pacers played six different series in the NBA Playoffs from 1993 to 2000. With New York being led by Patrick Ewing and Indiana following the lead of Reggie Miller, the rivalry was unforgettable.

On Tuesday, the rivalry between the Knicks and Pacers resumed with a rematch of the 2013 Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Carmelo Anthony and Paul George were the marquee players, but this game was decided by more than just the stars. Both teams received key contributions from unsung heroes and strong supporting casts.

The question is: who stepped up for the New York Knicks during the critical home game against the rival Indiana Pacers?
