New York Knicks: Kristaps Porzingis Is A Basketball Anomaly
Fearless
The New York Knicks learned quickly how ambitious and confident Kristaps Porzingis is. Just four games into his NBA career, Porzingis showed no remorse in rising up and throwing down a putback dunk over All-NBA power forward LaMarcus Aldridge.
Porzingis did it again to All-NBA power forward Kevin Love just two days later and struck with yet another putback two days after that.
Putback dunks may not be the end-all, be-all for NBA players, but the plays displayed what Porzingis has that so many others don’t. It’s not just that he’s athletic enough to come in and throw down an explosive throw down.
Those dunks were a clear display of just how fearless Porzingis is when it comes to battling the players who are supposed to be better than him.
Even the greatest of players have experienced some form of stage fright at points of their respective careers. Porzingis has struggled at times, as all players do, but he’s never been afraid to take chances.
Coaches often have to help a player get over the hump and venture into the unknown, but Porzingis is already fearless at such a young age.
