Kyle O’Quinn

The New York Knicks had an exceptional game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The catalyst to everything the Knicks were able to do was the man who gave them life and energy on both ends of the floor: Kyle O’Quinn.

For as much criticism as O’Quinn’s received during his Knicks tenure, he’s relished the opportunity to start in place of Joakim Noah.

O’Quinn recorded 20 points, 13 rebounds, seven offensive boards, two assists, and two blocks in 31 minutes. He shot a nearly perfect 9-of-11 from the field in what may have been the most encouraging performance of his Knicks career.

O’Quinn’s energy on both ends of the floor helped set the tone for what was a great display of energy and pride on the home court.

O’Quinn created invaluable second-chance scoring opportunities for the Knicks. He out-worked the opposition on the offensive glass and wasn’t afraid to get physical on the defensive end of the floor.

O’Quinn has work to do as far as being more consistent is concerned, but he was the Player of the Game against Minnesota.
